The Virginia Water Resources Research Center (VWRRC) at Virginia Tech is helping to organize the 2017 Virginia Water Monitoring Council (VWMC) Conference. The VWMC is a non-profit organization that promotes information sharing among individuals who collect and/or use water monitoring data from Virginia. The VWMC 2017 conference will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Henrico County Training Center in Henrico, Va. Dr. Carl Hershner (pictured) with the Center for Coastal Resources Management at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science will give the keynote address entitled, “Climate Change Impacts on Virginia’s Water Resources.” The conference also includes a panel presentation about harmful algal blooms and additional speakers covering diverse water-related topics.
