On March 31, 2017, the Dan River Basin Association Club from Patrick County High School visited the Virginia Water Center and the Virginia Tech College of Natural Resources and the Environment. On their visit, the students learned how macroinvertebrates can be used to assess water quality, toured the Water Center lab, and took part in an episode of Virginia Water Radio. Water Center Research Associate Alan Raflo is pictured below with the students at Stroubles Creek on the Virginia Tech campus.
