We have announced the top photos in this year’s annual Virginia Waters Photo Contest! Our first place goes to Morgan Stanley from Virginia Tech, with a photo of a pickerel frog peeking out of a stream at Pandapas Pond, near Blacksburg, Virginia.
Second place (below) is a lotus flower at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens on Lake Caroline, and was taken by Maheen Hussain of George Mason.
Third place (below) was taken by Egor Lukiyanov of Virginia Tech, and shows a beautiful autumn scene at Mill Creek Nature Park in Narrows, Virginia.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our annual photo contest! We had so many fantastic entries that show the beauty of Virginia’s waters, and the talent of our photographers.
